In order to address the “Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya” campaign launched by Govt. of India, in Jan 2015, Cairn India Limited (CIL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, a construction work of 71 (37 toilets for girls & 34 toilets for boys) sanitation units/toilets in 42 government schools were assigned to BCT in 04 blocks of district Barmer, Rajasthan. This year, BCT started the construction work as per the designs & specifications laid down by CIL, and each toilet block is equipped with -

• 3 urinals, 1 wash cubicle, running water, 3 wash basins, mirror
• Installation of ‘Incinerator’ and ‘Gated Urinals’ in each of girls’ units
• Provision of Ramp
• Bio-digester tanks

Up to March 31, 2015 around 08 units were completed under the project.
Promotion of Self Help Groups (SHGs) through Microfinance & Women empowerment and promotion of livelihoods activities is a major thrust area of BCT. In this context, BCT has been actively involved in formation of Self-Help-Groups in its all the target villages in Rajasthan
