In support of JSW Steel Ltd., project “Mission against Malnutritionâ€Â implemented in Sandur Taluka of Bellary. It was a JSW CSR project that aims to reduce the malnutrition among Children, Pregnant women & Lactating mothers through a regular consumption of Spirulina. During the project period (June 2014 to March 2015) Spirulina a micronutrient was administered to the Children, Pregnant and Lactating mothers for a period of 06 months with a continuous follow up with all the beneficiaries. A total of 10730 beneficiaries (6276 Malnourished Children, 2505 Pregnant and 1949 Lactating mothers) were covered under this project and a significant improvement/increase in health as well as in the hemoglobin of children, pregnant and lactating mothers has been noticed.
