Women Empowerment & SHG > MPOWER Project, Baitu, Barmer
MPOWER (Mitigating Poverty in Western Rajasthan) is a poverty reduction initiative, supported by IFAD, SRTT & Govt. of Rajasthan, being implemented in 10 GP’s, covering 66 villages of Baitu block of Barmer district since September 2010. The major objectives of this project are to secure and enhance present livelihoods, to enhance the income of poor people by creating employment opportunities for a sustainable livelihood and women empowerment, linking of 5387 BPL families with 360 SHGs through the Federation attaining financial sustainability.

- 478 Youths identified for skill training out which 239 Youths trained and trainings for remaining is going on.

Skill Training Program (Ladies Tailor Training): Trained 09 batches with a total of 254 participants and distribution of tool kits to 254 participants.Â
