During the FY 2013-14, a project assessment of Low Vision Children, Eye Corrective Surgery and Supply of Low Vision Devices with the support of the Rajasthan Council of Elementary Education, Jaipur, Rajasthan under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) was being implemented by “ Bhoruka Charitable Trustâ€, Bhorugram office in all the 33 districts of Rajasthan. The project’s objective was to correct the vision of the school children by performing surgeries like Cataract, Squint, Ptosis & Keratoplasty (Cornea) surgery and to treat them according to their present eye visual status & further provided with spectacles & low vision devices to the children. Undermentioned activities were performed during the project period :
• 30 Eye Screening camps were organized in all 33 districts.
• 2119 children got screened & benefited through the project
• 1107 Spectacles were prescribed & distributed
• 189 Low Vision Devices were distributed
• 58 Surgeries were performed
