In support of Jindal Steel Works, the project was implemented with a focus to increase awareness and prevent the spread of STIs/HIV/AIDS among the truck drivers, brokers, and contract employees, transporters associated with Jindal Steel plant, at Vijayanagara, Toranagallu, and Bellary.
This year, around 34343 targeted people were reached out through one to one interaction, Drop in the center, IPC sessions, health camps and focus groups. 400 + cases tested for STI & 500+ for HIV, 5810 cases referred to Govt. Hospital and 6890+ condoms distributed free of cost. Health care services including blood test, STI, TB, Malaria, Eye checkup including spectacles and counseling on HIV/AIDS were organized for the targeted people.
