In Dharwad district of North Karnataka resides Purti , a bright happy 9 year old studying in class 3rd. Purti is HIV +ve. So are her parents, who are daily wage earners. Purti has many dreams, some of which are being fulfilled through her association with Bhoruka Charitable Trust under the programme INCHARA-a foster care program for the young dependents of people vulnerable to or infected by HIV -AIDS. Purti is very happy these days -she has received crayons and cursive writing book under the Gift a Smile programme. She has begun expressing herself through drawings and has also started writing in the cursive book after regular school hours.
